Welcome to our new social network "Ning". What's a Ning? We're not sure, but it has all sorts of good things. This site is designed to help communities connect with each other and do stuff together more effectively. We hope it will provide a useful online service to the communities of Stoke-on-Trent and further afield.

This site is experimental, so feel free to try anything out and your friendly manager will soon remove it if she doesn't like it. Basic rules so far - no politics, no adult content, keep all your contributions friendly and assume good intentions by all other members.

Some of the things you can do right now:
- join groups for the areas you're interested in. If there's a group you'd like to start, go ahead. You'll be able to invite members by email.
- if you want to share any links or ideas, start a discussion on the main page or in a group
- in a band? Upload your music to help build our Stoke Sounds music player
- invite any friends you would like to see here
